Introduction

This Age Verification Policy outlines the measures Dropfans takes to enforce age restrictions, ensuring compliance with international laws and safeguarding minors from adult materials. With global regulations around adult content platforms becoming increasingly strict, Dropfans is dedicated to utilizing secure, reliable verification systems that also prioritize user privacy.

This document works in conjunction with our Terms of Service and other relevant Dropfans Policies. Should any contradiction arise between this Policy and our Terms of Service regarding age verification, the rules laid out in this Policy will take precedence.

Unless defined otherwise in this document, all capitalized terms carry the same meaning as they do in the Terms of Service.

Definitions

• “Age Estimation” refers to a streamlined screening process used for viewers to confirm they are over 18. It does not always require the submission of full identity documents, but Dropfans may request government-issued identification from any user where local law or risk signals require it.
• “Age Verification” is the formal procedure used to guarantee a user meets the 18-year minimum age requirement via approved verification channels.
• “Full KYC” (Know Your Customer) is the in-depth identity vetting mandatory for all Creators, which includes cross-referencing official documents and biometric checks.
• “Verification Provider” designates the authorized third-party vendor(s) partnered with Dropfans to execute age and ID checks.
• “Regulated Jurisdiction” means any territory, state, or nation that has enacted laws mandating age checks for platforms hosting adult content.

1. AGE VERIFICATION MANDATES

1.1 Minimum Age Rules

• Every user accessing the Dropfans Platform must be 18 years old or older.
• Individuals located within Regulated Jurisdictions are legally required to pass age verification prior to viewing any adult material.
• Dropfans retains the authority to request proof of age from any user at any time, regardless of their geographic location.

We actively monitor and enforce verification in regions with mandatory age-gating laws. The following areas currently require verification:

• Spain: An organic law protecting minors online has been approved. The corresponding digital wallet system (Cartera Digital) is currently being built, with strict enforcement anticipated in 2026.

2. THE VERIFICATION WORKFLOW

2.1 Triggers for Verification

• When a user in a Regulated Jurisdiction tries to open mature content, the platform will automatically trigger an age-check prompt.
• We utilize IP addresses and secondary technical signals to determine user location.
• Creators are subject to Full KYC verification no matter where they are located in the world.

2.2 Accepted Methods

For Viewers (Age Estimation):

• Frictionless age-checking interface.
• Instantaneous results via our verification partner’s estimation technology.
• Dropfans may still require government-issued identification from any user upon request, including where local law or risk signals demand a stronger check.

For Creators (Full KYC):

• Submission of valid, government-issued identification.
• Live facial recognition and liveness checks.
• Rigorous background identity matching.
• Information is securely retained to comply with federal USC 2257 record-keeping laws.

2.3 How it Works

1. A user clicks on content restricted by an age gate.
2. Dropfans evaluates the account’s verification status and geographic location.
3. If an age check is legally or operationally required, the user is routed to our secure Verification Provider.
4. The user fulfills the screening steps.
5. The Provider sends a pass/fail token back to Dropfans, and access is either unlocked or blocked.

3. PRIVACY AND DATA HANDLING

3.1 What We Collect

During Age Estimation:

• Confirmation that the user is 18+
• The exact time and date of the check
• The final Pass/Fail result

During Full KYC (Creators):

• Information extracted from government IDs
• Biometric markers used for identity matching
• Securely stored images of the provided documents

3.2 Processing Standards

• All data operations strictly adhere to our Privacy Policy.
• Our approved third-party vendors conduct the actual verification under binding, highly secure data processing contracts.
• Dropfans limits its data storage to the absolute minimum required for regulatory compliance.
• We rely on secure digital tokens to confirm age status rather than exposing raw personal details across our network.

3.3 Record Retention

• Your successful verification token remains tied to your account for as long as it is active.
• Creator documents are kept securely on file to satisfy the legal retention periods of USC 2257 (a minimum of 10 years).
• Logs of failed verification attempts are kept temporarily for fraud prevention and security audits.

4. ACCOUNT RESTRICTIONS

4.1 Unverified Account Limitations

If you have not completed a required age check, you CAN still:

• Navigate non-explicit areas of the platform.
• Look at Creator profiles that do not feature adult imagery.
• Adjust your basic account settings.

You CANNOT:

• Unlock, view, or interact with adult material.
• Complete transactions for explicit content.

4.2 Handling Failures

• Any user who fails the screening process will be immediately barred from accessing adult areas of the site.
• Repeated failures may trigger an automated, temporary lock on the account.
• Dropfans maintains the right to permanently ban accounts that repeatedly fail to prove they meet the minimum age.

4.3 Disputing a Result

If you feel your age check was failed in error, you may submit an appeal to our support team. Your appeal must feature:

• An explanation of why the failure was a mistake.
• Supporting evidence or documentation.
• A request for an alternative verification method, if permitted by your local laws.

5. PLATFORM INTEGRITY

5.1 Continuous Auditing

• Dropfans actively tracks new legislation and will modify our verification protocols to remain compliant.
• We may ask you to complete the verification process again if:
  • New laws are passed in your region.
  • We upgrade our security infrastructure.
  • We notice unusual or suspicious activity on your profile.

5.2 Anti-Circumvention Rules

• Actively trying to dodge the age gate is a severe violation of our rules.
• Utilizing Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) or IP spoofing tools to trick our location detectors may lead to an immediate, permanent ban.
• Sharing an already-verified account with an unverified user is strictly prohibited.

5.3 Community Reporting

• If you suspect a minor is using Dropfans—either as a viewer or a Creator—you are urged to report it immediately to support@dropfans.io.
• Dropfans maintains an open line of communication and full cooperation with law enforcement agencies regarding child safety and age compliance.
